Internal Environment

Hope you received and had some time to review/read our last week’s Newsletter where I shared with you some information and quotes about Environmental Health. The focus was on External Environment/External Milieu.

Today I want to share with you intellectual and experiential knowledge about Internal Environment/Internal Milieu, for Health and Well-being.

Everything in our universe is made of energy.  We humans are able to perceive only approximately 1% of all the energies that exist.

Our current cultural paradigm is that something is only real if we can perceive it physically.  Of course, we know that this is not true, but we have not allowed science to catch up to good sense and intuition.

After all, how many of us can prove the existence of love, measure it, or define it?  And yet, most of us have experienced it.

We live in a sea of energy and we ourselves are made of subtle “etheric” energy.  Even our body is vibration.

Each organ is made of cells, and each cell is made of molecules, which are made of atoms, which are made of protons, neutron, electrons, and other electromagnetic particles spinning in orbit.

When we are healthy, we are in a harmonious vibration and the whole organism functions properly.

People have different percentages of water. Babies have the most, being born at about 78%. By one year of age, that amount drops to about 65%. In adult men, about 60% of their bodies are water. However, fat tissue does not have as much water as lean tissue. In adult women, fat makes up more of the body than men, so they have about 55% of their bodies made of water.

Little was known until recently about the subtle energy properties of water.

Water is the medium that allows much of subtle energy healing

Einstein gave us the formula: E = mc2

In E = mc2 Einstein concluded that mass (m) and kinetic energy (E) are equal, since the speed of light (c2) is constant.

In other words, mass can be changed into energy, and energy can be changed into mass.

Since everything in our universe is made of energy, and energy cannot be created or destroyed, and it can only change form, it stands to reason that the physical form is a reflection of the underlying energetic nature

For example, if one takes an ice cube and wants to make water, chopping the ice into very small pieces still leaves ice.

But if the ice is heated, meaning energy is added to the system; it will melt and turn to water.

It is still water, but because the rate of vibration has increased, the physical form has changed.

Heat up the molecules so they are vibrating even faster, and you have vapor.

We know that it has not disappeared, yet we can no longer perceive the ice cube.

This is very powerful, because it means that if we can treat health and disease at the “Vibrational” level, the physical form will respond to the change in energy.

Vibrational therapies that are used in Holistic Integrative Medicine include: Homeopathy, Hands on energy healing, Chakra healing, Acupuncture, Aromatherapy and essential oils, Light color and Sound therapy, Music and Art therapy, Crystal and stone therapy, Qigong, Tai Chi, Yoga, Meditation, Guided imagery, and prayer.

Psychologists say that on any given day, 99% of our thoughts are exactly the same as the day before.

That means that we are stuck in reliving every day a life that seems not to change.

Most of these thoughts are worry, fear, doubt, greed, discontentment, fantasies, need for attention, and jealousies.

Why?  Why aren’t we bombarded by happy positive miraculous thoughts?

Just as physical exercise and strengthening muscles allows your body to lift a heavier load, strengthening the brain muscle with meditation augments its ability to carry life’s emotional burden and emotional weight.

“Basically, meditation helps your brain get out of its own way,”
says, Dr. Judson Brewer, a Yale School of Medicine psychiatrist.

“There are thousands of different types of meditation,” says Dr. Andrew Newberg, a neuroscientist at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and author of Words Can Change Your Brain.

He adds, “Greatest benefits of Meditation may spring from the interplay between your brain’s focus centers and its limbic system—a set of structures that manage your emotions and regulate the release of stress and relaxation hormones.”

From all the research studies, and experiential knowledge of many “meditators”, I am sure you are convinced that meditation is worth a try, now figuring out the right technique for you is important. The right technique that puts you in meditation is important because you tend to stick with it and the benefits tend to materialize only if you enjoy the practice.

There are different types of meditation techniques. If sitting down and meditating is hard for you, there are dynamic meditation techniques for the 7 major Chakras (Energy Centers) that not only heal the emotions associated with the chakras, but also take you into meditation. You may want to try these.
